Do you provide remote/virtual telehealth therapy sessions?
Yes.

Do you take insurance?
Depending on your plan, insurance may provide coverage for psychotherapy.  I am a preferred provider for some insurance companies, and your insurance company may provide some coverage even if I am not on their list.  Clients are responsible for checking with their insurance company to see if, and to what extent, they have coverage for psychotherapy.  It may be helpful to ask your insurance company the following questions.

  • Do I have coverage for mental health services?
  • Is preauthorization required?
  • Do you have a preferred provider list?  If so, is JoAnne Feigin, LCSW, on your list?  If not, do you cover out of network providers?
  • What percentage of the services do you cover?
  • How many sessions per year do you cover?
  • Is there a yearly deductible before coverage starts?
  • Have I met the deductible?

The client is responsible for paying for services as they are rendered.  The client will be provided a bill with diagnostic codes that he/she can submit to his/her insurance company for reimbursement.

Do you prescribe medication?
I am unable to prescribe medications.  For psychotherapy clients, I will coordinate care with your psychiatrist or primary physician.  For clients who may need medication, referrals can be provided.

Will psychotherapy information be kept confidential?
I will not disclose information about you or your children without your consent, except where I am legally required to do so, i.e., child or elder abuse or danger to self or others.

How do I begin?
Please call me at (310) 376-2047.
